The Birchwood Civic Association was founded in
1956 to promote and protect the privileges and the best
interests of the residents of the East Birchwood and Manors
developments in Jericho, New York, and to promote and
encourage a better community and civic spirit. Here is a
map of our community.
The BCA
participates in all facets of our community life – For
example, the organization is actively involved with our
highly-acclaimed Syosset and Jericho schools --- we serve as a
liaison to local, State and Federal governments and represent
the community’s interest with respect to private development
projects that might negatively impact our community (e.g., The
Taubman Group’s effort to build a mall on Robbins Lane, the
proposal to build a Lowes on Robbins Lane, etc.).
BCA membership is at an all time
high (900+ members).
BCA
monthly meetings take place at the Jackson Elementary School
at 8:30 p.m. in the faculty room. Click here for the schedule
of upcoming meetings.
